I just went to longs and bought 6 kotex panty liners that were on sale for .99 i had a 6 $1 off Q's and 2 Glade Solid air fresheners that were also on sale for .99 and i used 2 $1 off Q's. I know that when your coupon is more then the price of the idem they are suppose to just take of the price of the idem and you just pay tax! but the manager told me that they can't give me everything for FREE but i told them i was suppose to just pay tax and that they are still getting paid by the manufacturer! but they still gave me a hard time! so i had to take back 1 Q of each and i ended up paying $2.36. But i just don't understand because i went to longs earlier today for a different haul for the $1.69 hotdogs and i used a $2 off Q for each hotdog i bought and i received it for FREE, no ??'s asked! so IDK what to do or think & the managers that gave me a hard time had really BAD customer service.

ReplyDeleteI noticed the same thing. My friend recently went to one Longs and the manager said that whenever a customer uses 4 or more coupons the register will prompt for a manger to be called. He said this will eventually be inplemented at ALL Longs in Hawaii. Youre right Longs is supposed to adjust down the coupon to the price of the item. You were supposed to be leaving the store with all 6 of your kotex and just paying tax. Did you have the CVS coupon policy with you? Maybe you should contact corporate. I had to contact corporate once, and they directed me to Mr. Karioka (district manager for Hawaii Longs). I explained my points, and he completely understood. He called the store and talked to the store manager about properly reading coupons. He also went over the coupon policy with the store manager. Ive never had a problem at that branch again. :) I suggest you do the same especially if the Longs you went to is your neighborhood Longs and you will shopping there frequently. :)

Thanks Jen! and yes I had the coupon policy with me, but they wouldn't listen to me. All the managers wanted to do was argue with me. I think I will be making a call to corporate! Thanks again :)
DeleteOMG i am so mad! i just spoke to the another store manager and HE HUNG UP ON ME! I AM CALLING CORPORATE NOW and i'll let you know how things go....
DeleteOkay :) so i just got off the phone with the corporate office! She told me that i was completely CORRECT and that the manager's shouldn't have treated me the way they did, DIstrict manager will be contacting me soon and they are going to address this issue with the store and bring this matter to a higher corporate office.
